Support and Teaching Autistic People

This project takes care of the  mentally handicapped people in Ghana. The project is mainly funded by individuals and Non Governmental Organizations. The main vision of this program is to equip the Intellectually Disabled with the required attitudes and vocational skills that will make them functional and employable through volunteer support.

The project centre is a boarding facility for the intellectually challenged.

Refugee Camp

The Buduburam refugee camp is a home for Liberian's who fled their country during the civil war. The living condition at the camp is not the best and most of the people don't have any meaningful job making it difficult to care for their kids. Some of the kids also have no parents because of the war. A school and a care centre has been established at the school to care for these people.

Working With Children

Working at an orphanage in Ghana is likely to be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of your life. In orphanages and children homes, volunteers assist in caring for destitute and abandoned children and orphans, some of whom have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS.

Teaching and Assisting Schools

As part of our efforts to support our education system, especially less resourced schools, we seek volunteers to help mitigate the deprivation of learning and teaching aids, and to support and share knowledge with our teachers.

Volunteers help in a range of subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Geography, Social Science, History, Business Education, Art and Music, as well as English.

Creative Arts Program

The Creative Arts project is based in schools in Kumasi and Accra. The Ghana Education Service have recently included arts as part of the curriculum at the basic schools to build the creativity of pupil before they get to the Junior High school and since is a new to our education system, there is a lack of creative art teacher and there is the desperate need for volunteers to help staff teach the subject.

Medical Placement

Medical programs in Ghana welcome volunteers with a wide range of experience, including qualified medical personnel, medical students and pre-med students. Attendance on a medical volunteer project is itself a helpful preparation for a medical career. We also welcome motivated volunteers who are interested in working in the health sector.
